Affiliate Disclosure

Cuba Cafe is reader-supported — here's exactly how we earn, and why it never decides our picks.

Last updated

The short version: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Cuba Cafe may earn a commission when you buy through some of the links on this site — at no extra cost to you.

What this means in plain terms

Some of the links on Cuba Cafe are affiliate links — typically the "Check Price" buttons and the product links inside our guides and reviews. If you click one of those links and then buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission for sending you their way. That commission is what funds the site and keeps our guides free to read, with no paywall and no subscription.

Does it cost you anything?

No. You pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or go to the retailer directly. The commission comes out of the retailer's own margin, not your wallet — there is no markup, surcharge, or hidden fee for using our links.

How we keep it honest

Affiliate commissions never influence which products we recommend, how we rank them, or what we say about them. No brand or retailer can pay for placement, a better position, or a more favorable verdict. We choose and order products on the merits alone — a product earns its spot because it's genuinely a good pick, not because it pays more. You can read the full method behind our picks in how we review.

We don't do paid placements

We don't accept payment in exchange for inclusion in a guide, a higher ranking, or a sponsored "best of" spot. We also don't publish sponsored reviews dressed up to look like independent editorial. If our opinion of a product ever changes, it's because the product, its price, or the competition changed — not because someone paid us.

How to spot our affiliate links

Affiliate outbound links generally carry a rel="sponsored" attribute and take you to the retailer's own website to complete your purchase. On top of that, we place a short disclosure near the top of each guide so it's visible right alongside our recommendations — in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's "clear and conspicuous" standard, which expects a disclosure to be easy to notice and understand before you act on it. Internal links that point to our own pages are never affiliate links.

Amazon Associates Program

Cuba Cafe is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

Other affiliate programs

Alongside Amazon, we may also participate in other reputable affiliate and advertising programs relevant to home coffee — for example, retailers and brands that sell coffee makers, grinders, beans, and brewing gear. The same rules apply to every one of them: commissions never affect our recommendations, our rankings, or our verdicts.

Prices & availability

Prices and availability change constantly and are set entirely by the retailer, not by us. Any figures or price ranges we mention can be out of date by the time you read them. Always confirm the current price and stock on the retailer's own page before you buy.
